Ayronis-02/12/2018

We also play with two "House Rules" which you can find on this post here: http://pongreport.blogspot.com/2017/08/new-game-pong-3.html
General Settings Two human players (Joe & Nate) and seven AI players. Humans play on King difficulty. AIs play on King difficulty. ...
Due to the increased size of this game, Mulligan rules should be lowered to 12 (unless someone has another preference.) Reincarnation is in effect and unchanged.

Turn 13 begun. Mulligan declined.

The humble people of Khmer greet all people with kindness and respect. Let it be known that the barbaric and militant Japanese have recently decided to make war on our people. Fools think fortune is on their side. Who will they blame when theirs runs out?

Telrenaur-02/15/2018

I object to this mischaracterization of the sweet and friendly Japanese! They have done nothing but bring joy and hope to the people of Australia
Surely you must have done something to incur the anger of the kind and amenable Hojo Tokimune

Ayronis-02/15/2018

Refugees from Kabul carry a very different report from you, stranger.

Inverse Icarus-02/15/2018

Greetings from MOST GLORIOUS AND HONORABLE Korea! We are a simple people that seek harmony with the world and people around us. We know not of these "Japanese", and as such refuse to comment on their predilections either way.

Telrenaur-02/15/2018

With all due respect honorable leader of the Khmer people, those "refugees" you speak of were the remains of a tyrannical theocracy that pushed Kabul into its darkest days. The citizens of Kabul cried for assistance first from us and when we were unable to provide it, due to domestic circumstances, requested the aid of the honorable Hojo Tokimune. He obliged and freed them from the tyranny of those "refugees". As a show of thanks they offered to give leadership of the city to Japan.
I can assure you that if any alternative information comes to my attention, even suggesting in any way shape or form, that the transition of power in Kabul was the product of an aggressive and imperialistic policy on the part of the Japanese, Australia and its people will be the first to denounce and free the peoples of Kabul. The people of Australia and myself, John Curtin, have a particular disdain for unsanctioned and aggressive military actions and will react swiftly and boldly should any situation like that arise.
February 20, 2018

Ayronis-02/20/2018

Let it be known that the Japanese have sued for peace. We have accepted their gifts and forgiven their transgression.

Telrenaur-02/20/2018

This is interesting information for the people of Australia

Ayronis-02/20/2018

Also, I wish to note that the Netherlands is currently in a Heroic Age, such as it is.
February 24, 2018

Ayronis-02/24/2018

In conversation, each of you notice that the Khmer missionaries all carry wooden-plaques in their baggage. Upon closer look, one of the plaques has the following inscription:
The Khmer greet all people with hands-joined, in kindness, with the hope that we can build a world of brotherhood and compassion for all.
February 27, 2018

Telrenaur-02/27/2018

Let it be known that the Aztec have declared on the Dutch

Inverse Icarus-02/27/2018

The People's Classical Republic of Korea will not comment on peoples they have yet to meet.

Ayronis-02/27/2018

Siddartha Gautama was born in the Netherlands, but seems unable to find a place to teach his philosophy. A curious thing.

Ayronis-02/27/2018

More war in the East.
February 28, 2018

Ayronis-02/28/2018

Let it be known that the Dutch call out for revenge on the Aztecs. War returns to the East once more.

NicoDemonous-02/28/2018

The Dutch over step their boundaries once more and their citizens pay for this greed, we will not be a welcome mat to foreign troops and shall wipe them from our lands

NicoDemonous-02/28/2018

And take the appropriate amount of slaves

Ayronis-02/28/2018

Muskets should soon be on the black market. Gird yourselves. Embrace the Middle Path to be free.

Inverse Icarus-02/28/2018

With the discovery of distant shores, foriegn peoples, and trade opportunities, a new merchant class has begun to gain wealth and influence in Korea. Reflecting these shifting political realities, The People's Classical Republic of Korea (PCRK) has officially become People's Merchant Republic of Korea (PMRK). We seek peace and trade with all peoples of the pangea.

Inverse Icarus-02/28/2018

During the Ancient Era, Korea barely managed to maintain a normal age for the Classical Era. We beat back barbarians and destroyed their camps just in time to avoid falling into a dark age. Owing to the wonders of Korean scientific advancements in the Classical Era, we overshot our golden age for the Medieval Era by a good deal. The Medieval Era was marked by ever-more advanced discoveries and the rapid expansion of the Republic, but Korean scholars were unable to keep pace with the expectations of its people. A dark age looms for the Renaissance era, despite the fact that Korea had the majoirty of the era's technologies at the time. The pendulum is swinging back though, and should they survive this strife our scholars predict a heroic age for Korea's industrial era.
March 3, 2018

Ayronis-03/03/2018

Life, as ever, continues down a calm, moderate path in Khmer.
Our Buddhism flourishes.
But there is instability and violence in the world.
The Renaissance truly began in Korea:

Inverse Icarus-03/03/2018

So did the Industrial Era.

Ayronis-03/03/2018

Hmm...

Inverse Icarus-03/03/2018

Korean scholars regard "score" as a vague and arbitrary measurement.

The world watches with alarm as a coup takes place in the Netherlands. Zach @Zar has secured his position as the new king of the Dutch.

Telrenaur-03/13/2018

The Australians look forward to establishing relations with this new monarch and are happy to see the old regime gone.

Zar-03/13/2018

The new leader of the Dutch empire greets you all! While our previous regime made great advancements in its infancy, they lacked the vision and innovation to propel us into the future. That is why I am here. Under my leadership I am confident that we can make great strides forward in this age. I wish for peace with our friends, and retribution against our foes. Transgressions against past leaders have not been forgotten, as I am familiar with my people's history.(edited)

Telrenaur-03/13/2018

Let it be known the bloodthirsty Aztec have attack Japan and Australia

Ayronis-03/13/2018

An Aztec city fell to the Dutch

Zar-03/13/2018

We must have retribution for enslaving our people

Ayronis-03/13/2018

The people of Tenochtitlan cry out!
Where are your gods now, Aztec?

Zar-03/13/2018

I am your new god

Telrenaur-03/13/2018

Cempoala falls to the Aussies

Ayronis-03/13/2018

The Aztec capital has fallen!!

Zar-03/13/2018

A new order has come to the far east

Inverse Icarus-03/13/2018

Korea decries the violence of Pangea. Only the Khmer's hands remain clean.

Ayronis-03/13/2018

The Khmer have begun to see worlds you can only imagine. The perfection of our religious contemplation approaches the divine.

Zar-03/13/2018

War is an inevitable truth, the Dutch only seek to make it swift

Telrenaur-03/13/2018

Let it be known that the Australians are no aggressors. We merely became involved In this affair due to our contractual obligation with our ally, Japan. Who the Aztec brazenly assaulted
I ask all nations to consider this truth

Zar-03/13/2018

The Dutch respect the current Australian claims to land, but let it be known that the citizens of Malinalco desire Dutch leadership in the future
We only seek what is rightfully ours after enduring centuries of Aztec attacks

Ayronis-03/13/2018

Mystics and monks among the Khmer are thrilled to announce that this world is, in fact round. Still no word on the airy world above or the heavens.
After a brave but ultimately foolish defense of the fictions of Eastern Christianity, the wise seekers of Kyoto have vowed to practice the Middle Way.

Inverse Icarus-03/13/2018

The Holy City of Jerusalem has been assaulted by the words of Apostles from the myriad faiths of the world.

Telrenaur-03/13/2018

The Buddhist apostles are a fanatical bunch. My ally, Japan, reports they aggressively have been undermining Japanese faith

Inverse Icarus-03/13/2018

We greatly oppose the spreading of these faiths to the Korean islands, but it is our custom to leave the decisions of our city-state allies to their leaders. Should such faiths enter Korea proper, our leaders will react decisively to push them back.

Telrenaur-03/13/2018

Likewise, The people of Australia found salvation in the great faith of our ally Japan. To see our brothers and sisters being mistreated and forced to believe in the foul doctrines of the "Middle way" has caused us great alarm. Should such zealots arrive in Australia we will be forced to act.

Zar-03/13/2018

The Dutch citizens have all but fully converted to the holy religion of our Khmer neighbors. The previous Monarchic government did not welcome this change and sought to evangelize our local religious traditions. However, the New Dutch Merchant Republic is more open-minded. We welcome those of all faiths to our lands at the present time.

Inverse Icarus-03/14/2018

The red sun of Japan is in ascention.

Zar-03/14/2018

If their dominance of our continent continues it may soon run red with blood
Their troops stand idly on our doorstep and we fear they may be planning an attack

Telrenaur-03/14/2018

Japan is also at war with the Aztec. That is why their troops are on your border.

Zar-03/14/2018

That is good to know

Inverse Icarus-03/14/2018

Hojo is as honorable as he is cultured.
It is known.

Zar-03/14/2018

Although there are rumors of a coup in Japan... a new unpredictable leader may soon come to power
March 20, 2018

NicoDemonous-03/20/2018

The Aztecs relinquish our claim to the continent and abandoned our cities

Ayronis-03/20/2018

RIP Aztecs

Zar-03/20/2018

Ayronis-03/20/2018

Korea stands with Japan, and their right to follow Eastern Orthodoxy.

Ayronis-03/29/2018

The people of Kabul are free! (For now.)

Ayronis-03/29/2018

The world of Pongeria in Turn 180 (1770 CE)
Pongeria has been united into two large blocs. The Buddhist and Orthodox blocs. Korea, as usual, remains outside.

Inverse Icarus-03/29/2018

Early in the industrial era, Japan beseeched Korea for Niter so that they could modernize their armies to defend their lands. We agreed, but it was not enough. Nico-Hojo knew war was coming for him, but not how swiftly it would.

Zar-03/29/2018

This was a wise decision by the Japanese, but there was nothing they could do to repel our forces. We feel that the Japanese citizens will be great assets to the Dutch and welcome them into our diverse empire.

Inverse Icarus-03/29/2018

As Pangea drips with blood, the Korean navy expands and modernizes. Anyone wishing to harm Korea will find the seas very inhospitable.
March 30, 2018

Telrenaur-03/30/2018

You speak as if Japan no longer exists. Though obviously a shadow of themselves their government still rules what remains of their empire for the time being. Their modernization efforts are commendable but the rifles we encountered were relics compared to the weapons wielded by my forces

Inverse Icarus-03/30/2018

Korea weeps for Japan, our oldest ally. Hojo was too gentle for this world. May his faith and culture serve him well in the next one.

Telrenaur-03/30/2018

As for Australia's part in the dismemberment of Japan, we are not proud of our actions but they were a grim necessity to ensure the national security of Japan. We extended a deal to Japan that would have secured their future but sadly have not heard back from them.
**national security of Australia

Inverse Icarus-03/30/2018

Another opportunistic land grab by Australia as the Dutch bear the brunt of the battles? Korean scouts have mostly seen the Dutch troops on active duty. We know little of what Australia has done on its own, though their expansion speaks volumes.

Zar-03/30/2018

Australian forces should not be underestimated and rival my own.
We also wish that our path could be a peaceful one, but in order to keep pace with Korean ingenuity bloodshed was necessary

Inverse Icarus-03/30/2018

The blood-soaked soil of Pangea does not bear much fruit for its people, it seems. The pall of a dark age looms over all who dwell there. Who shall emerge heroic? Who will languish in the darkness?
April 8, 2018

Telrenaur-04/08/2018

Australia does what it must to survive since the greedy Koreans refuse to share their technologies with the rest of the world

Ayronis-04/08/2018

The Khmer remain content to dwell in peaceful contemplation, but we are eager to share our secrets with all like-minded people.
April 12, 2018

Ayronis-04/12/2018

King Pete of Japan renounces the throne. A distant relative of the late Hojo assumes the throne of Japan.

Inverse Icarus-04/12/2018

A revolution has taken place in Korea, and a new, democratic government has taken control. No longer will the most powerful merchants control policy in our great nation, as the will of the people rises to rule. The nation is now known as the People's Democratic Republic of Korea.

Ayronis-04/12/2018

Japan has been exterminated. R.I.P.

Inverse Icarus-04/12/2018

Korean agents have assassinated a Khmer spy attempting to inspire rebels in Seoul.

Zar-04/12/2018

A new heroic age dawns in the Dutch empire!

Ayronis-04/12/2018

Dark times in Pongeria as a world war erupts.

Zar-04/12/2018

Desperate times call for desperate measures. The Koreans have begun production on satellites and are on the path to colonizing distant planets. However, the Dutch will not stand idly by and let this happen.
April 17, 2018

Inverse Icarus-04/17/2018

The two greatest navies in the history of man squared off in the Western Sea.
The treachery of the Dutch was plan to see coming.
The battle raged on, with many watery deaths on both sides.
The Dutch quickly gain the upper hand. The opening salvo of their sneak attack greatly diminished the Korean response, and their use of Fleets and Armadas ensured their navy's success.
The Korean navy in the East held, for a time.
The Dutch artillery would prove to be more powerful than anyone could have imagined.
April 18, 2018

Zar-04/18/2018

Using newly discovered drone technology our forces we're able to shell Korean ships and even cities from across the channel
But I fear it may be too late already. We anticipated support from the Aussie allied forces, but they had other plans in mind
Our invasion of the Khmer traitors has been successful albeit slower than expected

Ayronis-04/18/2018

The Battle of Ambergris Island will be remembered for all time in the history books, assuming anyone survives to read such things.
There is little to be said of glory in Khmer. Dutch forces continue to exterminate the defeated people wherever they encounter them.
April 22, 2018

Ayronis-04/22/2018

The suffering of the Khmer is endless. Refugees from Mahendraparvata and the Cereal Coast are fleeing in all directions, but most are slaughtered in the fields in which they are found. Bodies are washing up in rivers and being found in forests all over the western edges of Pangea.
The Dutch invasion of Khmer is horrific. The Mahendraparvata Massacre has led to the extermination of millions. Estimates may be as high as 12 million or more dead. Most of the ministry of state and the high cathedral have renounced public life and withdrawn into contemplation awaiting the inevitable fall of Angkor Thom.
Over14 monks and nuns have immolated themselves in public squares in protest of Dutch treatment of the Khmer.
The world in 1905 CE.

Inverse Icarus-04/22/2018

Korea has resisted the unprovoked Dutch assaults slightly better than the Khmer, but have also been on the receiving end of their atrocities. The slaughter of Daejeon was tantamount to genocide.
Their death machines march on, as Korean scholars leave their labs and pick up rifles to defend their homeland.

Ayronis-04/22/2018

Khmer refugees flee to every surrounding land. Some take refuge in shanty towns springing up in the north arctic. Others risk crossing the Middle Sea to reach Korea, where stories of magical flying arks inspire the hope of reaching a new world, a better world than Pongeria, where the endless violence and hostility of the Old World are just a history lesson.
A newspaper photo of the Dutcherkrieg.

Inverse Icarus-04/22/2018

It saddens Korea to imagine what the Netherlands could have been if they had focused their energy and production into something other than tools of murder and oppression.
April 24, 2018

Zar-04/24/2018

Oppression?! I'd say liberation! The Korean citizens have been isolated from the rest of the world long enough.
They know not the opportunity and prosperity that awaits them in Pangaea. Although a few brainwashed nationalists may sacrifice themselves, in the end Dutch rule will bring greater good to the Korean people and the world
And let us not even speak of the traitorous zealots in the north...
Soon their empire will be but a page in our history books

Inverse Icarus-04/24/2018

Pangea produces nothing but blood and suffering. The Aztec and Japanese people have much more colorful words for your so-called "liberation."

Zar-04/24/2018

*The people previously known as the Aztec and Japanese people

Inverse Icarus-04/24/2018

We maintain emissaries with the remnants of the Japanese royal court in exile, and hope to one day truly liberate them from their conquerors. Hojo lives!

Zar-04/24/2018

Your words are strong, but where were your troops in their hour of need?(edited)

Inverse Icarus-04/24/2018

Our scholars are learning the ways of war. It is slow-going, but many among our youth have volunteered to defend their homes. We believe we shall beat back the Dutch incursion.

Zar-04/24/2018

We respect your military development, but know that you have only encountered a fraction of our full strength
Once the Khmer are finished our armies will turn to Korean shores

Inverse Icarus-04/24/2018

The Kmher are a resilient people, and you underestimate their fervor and zealotry. The combined forces of the world will eventually fall upon the Dutch heartland.

Zar-04/24/2018

We welcome the challenge

Zar-04/24/2018

The Koreans have truly gone mad

Ayronis-04/24/2018

The Atomic Era ends with a bang!

Inverse Icarus-04/24/2018

Dutch soldiers wandered into one of Korea's nuclear test sites in the desert. The explosion was larger than anyone could have expected.

Not for Korea!

Ayronis-04/24/2018
